SYD – LAX – JFK
LAX <-> JFK(2475 miles)

It seems we cannot buy only the fifth freedom flight route.
Conclusion
As QF has a partnership with Emirates(EK), the price between DXB and LHR is the same.
EK also has quite a lot of fifth freedom flights for the “Kangaroo route”.
Fifth Freedom Flights : Emirates(EK)#1
EK has quite a lot of airlines which belongs to Oneworld, I’m wondering why they don’t join there.
It might be because American Airlines(AA) refuses it?!
Also you can take A380 at almost all of fifth freedom flights by QF.
I have never taken it though, hope I would take one day.

“Fifth freedom” only applies if the airline has rights to carry a local passenger exclusively on that leg. QF LAX-JFK doesn’t apply here. A pax can only travel on that leg if their ticket is bound for an onward flight from LAX to Australia and beyond.
Thank you for your indication 😉
I know there are some such like flights, I much check it out further 🙂
