About hotel
W Hotels are based on cutting-edge-design and go for stylish designs in the room. In this respect, Aloft is succeeds:
At night :
The room is also stylish.
It is close to 中山國小(Zhongshan Elementary School) station by MRT, and there is a night market near the hotel.
Also Aloft provides Keyless function, same as other W hotels, you can use a smartphone app as the room key.
Put your smartphone to the reader on the room and the lift.
Mind you, you need to turn the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on to use it.
The points I got
I got 1,190 points in total for this stay.
SPG Gold members can earn 3 points per USD.
Also I got a bonus of 125 points.
How to connect to Wi-Fi
You can select ‘ALOFT’ SSID.
Then a new page will be displayed.
After filling in your room number and surname, it’ll be done.
Speed
I measured at three separate times, as follows :
At around 19.00
Uploading : 8.39Mbps
Downloading : 7.08Mbps
Quite good, fast speed.
At around 22.00
Uploading : 8.40Mbps
Downloading : 9.64Mbps
It’s faster than earlier, lovely!
At around 7.00
Uploading : 6.08Mbps
Downloading : 8.53Mbps
Although it is slower than at 22.00, still downloading speed exceeded 8 Mbps.
Conclusion
It was no problem as for the speed.
However…
I got disconnected many times, it was awful.
My British wife also got irritated and said ‘なんだよこれ(Rubbish)!’ in Japanese ^^;
It would be better if the the hotel realised this problem and resolve it as soon as possible.
So I answered their survey after our stay.
