Today I will explain fifth freedom flights for Iberia(IB), a Spanish airline that belongs to Oneworld.
[toc]
IB has come back to Japan
Iberia(IB) is now flying between Narita(NRT) and Madrid(MAD) and has been since October 2016 :
IB6800 NRT (11.20) – MAD (17.20) / Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
IB6801 MAD (13.20) – NRT (09.35+1) / Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
I think it is unusual that the the flight number has 4 digits and starts from “4”, but it is not a codeshare flight.
MAD – GUA – SAL

GUA SAL(126 miles)
IB6341/6342
It seems it is not possible to book only the fifth freedom flight route.
Conclusion
Their frequent flyer programme, Avios, is one of the most useful programmes.
Mainly I earn the Avios(via British Airways(BA)) because it is the most useful for me.
I write quite a lot of articles regarding Avios, please take a look if you want to find out more about them.

So far, the articles are available only in Japanese, if there are any particular posts that you want to read, I’ll try make some time to translate them to English(or French) 🙂
