この提携が持つ意味について、ちょっと考えてみたいと思います。

こちらも、エコノミークラスに関してはACマイレージにそのまま加算するよりも加算率が悪くなっていますね。
PAR的危惧
・・・と、ここまでのお話であれば、ACマイラーとCXマイラーがマイレージを貯めやすくなったね〜、で終わりなので、わざわざ記事にしたりはしません。
わざわざ記事にした理由は、個人的に、このマイレージ提携でCXのスターアライアンス移行が加速するのではないか、と危惧しているからです。
少し前に、中国国際航空(CA)によるCX買収の話がニュースとなりました。
このニュースは結局CXにより否定されたようですが、業績が大幅に悪化しているのは事実なようで、旅客数も0.8%増と7年ぶりに低い伸び率。2017年には9期ぶりに赤字に転落する観測も出ています。
CXは以前から、CAとマイレージの提携を行っています。
なので、仮にCAがCXを買収したとしても、マイレージに関してはあまり問題がなさそうです。
更にCXは、スターアライアンスメンバーのニュージーランド航空(NZ)ともマイレージ提携を行っています。
もう一つ、CXの予約システムは、スターアライアンスメンバーが利用を推奨されているアマデウスです。
スターアライアンスに移行したとしても、マイレージ連携などはすんなりできそうですね。
これはまずい・・・。
アライアンスの移行なんてあるの？
アライアンスの移行なんてありえない。
そんなふうに考えている人はいませんか？
いえいえ、とんでもない。
過去には、アライアンス移行の事例がいくつかあります。
例えば、スターアライアンスメンバーだったTAMブラジル航空(JJ)。
チリのLAN航空(LA)に買収されて同じ会社となった際、スターアライアンスを抜けてワンワールドに加盟しました。
この移行による影響を受けた人も、少なからずいるはずです。
CXがスターアライアンスに移行したら・・・
CXがスターアライアンスに移行してしまったら、ワンワールドメンバーのマイレージでCXフライトを利用できなくなってしまいます。
これがPAR的には一番痛く、Aviosでの日本 – 香港(HKG)のビジネスクラス(CXフライト)片道20,000マイルというとてもお得な特典航空券が、もう予約できなくなってしまうわけです。
更に、CXと独自に提携を結んでいるアラスカ航空(AS)の必要マイレージ数にも、少なからず影響があるかもしれません。
CXフライトは、ASマイレージを利用するにあたって最もお得な使い方の一つなので、改悪なんかされたらたまったもんではありません。

これはきつい。
HKG発のフライトはこれから重宝すると思っていた矢先の出来事で、CXがワンワールドに残ってくれることを切に願っています。
自分の危惧が、杞憂でありますように・・・。
