先日、イタリアのITAエアウェイズ(AZ)がエアバス A350機材での運航を開始することをお伝えしました。

AZは、保有している63機中60機が運航を再開し、ほぼ全機種に戻りました。
エアバスA319-100を18機、A320-200を32機、A330-200を8機、A350-900を5機保有しています。
(2022年8月現在)
AZは、ボーイングB777-200ERを2機、ボンバルディアCRJ1000ERを4機、エンブラエルERJ190ARを1機、ERJ190-100LRを1機の計8機をウェットリースで使用しています。
また、A220を23機、A320neosを23機、A321LRを9機、A330neosを17機、A350を3機発注しています。

まとめ
AZは2022年8月現在、ローマ(FCO)の主要拠点から、イタリア国内のネットワークを含め、23カ国67都市へ94路線を運航しています。
短距離路線はもちろん、長距離路線では、2022年12月からモルディブの首都マレ(MLE)への運航も開始します。
羽田(HND)線の運航も予定されていて、HND線にA350機材が利用される可能性は十分にあると思っています。
楽しみではありますが、きっと運賃が高いので南米路線で搭乗する方法を探ってみたいと思います。
ちなみに、一部の機材には愛称がつけられていて、最近のフットボール選手の名前がつけられています。
ロベルトバッジオとか、マルチェロリッピとか。
歴史上の人物ではなく最近のフットボール選手の名前をつけるのは結構斬新ですね。
