2023年3月、エティハド航空(EY)の基幹システム(GDS)がSabre(1S)からAmadeus(1A)に移行されました。

3/10からしばらく、移行に伴うバタバタがあったようですが今はそれも落ち着いているようです。
GDSの移行に伴い、マイレージプログラムも変更となり、今までできたことができなくなったり、今までできなかったことができるようになりました。
どのように変わったのか、少し調べてみました。

エティハド航空(EY)、アメリカン航空(AA)、ヴァージン・オーストラリア(VA)のフライトは特典計算機が利用できます。
ただ、EYフライトについては必要マイレージ数が変動制なので、EYファーストクラスは普通に1,000,000マイル以上必要となります。

EY, AA, VAフライトよりも、ビジネスクラス・ファーストクラスがややお得になっています。
まとめ
多くの提携航空会社のフライトが以前よりも大幅にマイレージを消費するようになりました。
残念ながら、これによってEYマイレージを最大限に活用することは難しくなりました。
EY, AA, VAフライトはオンラインで予約可能、それ以外の提携航空会社は引き続き電話での予約となります。
新しいマイレージプログラムになった後、EYマイレージを使い切ろうと思い電話をしましたが、NHフライトの国内線の空きがあまりないようです。
UAで空席が確認できていても、EYでは予約できないとか、普通にあります。
HND – ITMなど、移動距離が500マイル以内の場所であれば6,000マイルなので、それなりにお得に利用できるんですけどね。
EYコールセンターに電話をするのはなかなか忍耐が必要なのでどうぞご注意を。
