先日、IHGのポイントプログラムが変更となることを記事でお伝えしました。

1ヶ月ほど遅れがありましたが、ようやくIHGからメールが来ていました。
とりあえず自分は、ダイヤモンドメンバーとして迎えてくれるようです。
ステータス毎の特典詳細も発表になったので、各ステータスはどのような特典が獲得できるのか、調べてみました。

特典
今回のポイントプログラム一新により、上級会員の特典も変更となりました。
ダイヤモンドメンバー向けに新しく追加となった特典は、以下の通りです。
・ポイントによる宿泊のポイント数ディスカウント
・専用スタッフによるサポート
・無料の朝食(2名分。チェックイン時にオプションとして選択可)
・スイートルームを含む部屋のアップグレード
これを見る限り、IHGの特典で弱かった部分が強化されているようです。
なお、アップグレードの規定に関して、規約を読みましたが2022/4/13現在は記述がありませんでした。
スイートルームにアップグレードしてもらえるのは、
・ホテル裁量(ヒルトン、マリオット型)なのか規約として盛り込まれる(ハイアット型)のか
・プラチナメンバー以上なのかダイヤモンドメンバーのみなのか
については、まだわかりません。
マイルストーンボーナス
もう一つ、新しいポイントプログラムにはマイルストーンボーナスが追加されています。

ラウンジアクセスの特典は、ステータスによる特典ではなく、マイルストーンとしての特典となります。
これにより、インターコンチネンタルアンバサダーやステータスマッチなどでにわかに上級会員となった人のラウンジアクセスが拒否され、本当に宿泊実績を積んだ人のみがラウンジに入ることができ、ラウンジの静寂がある程度保てるようになります。
ラウンジが日本書紀だらけにならないように、うまく設計されていますね。

個人的には、特典を見る限りIHGのステータスを獲得・維持してもいいのではないかなと思っています。
IHGはイギリスのホテルチェーンなので、イギリスに帰省した際も色々と使い勝手が良さそうですし、日本にも数多くホテルがあり、国内でも修行がしやすそうです。
ダイヤモンドメンバーになれば朝食を無料でいただくことができるので、もうSFCプランに頼らなくても大丈夫です。
そろそろ、さよならSFCかな・・・。

とりあえず、ダイヤモンドステータスとしてIHGに初めて宿泊するのは、バーミンガムかな・・・と思っていましたが、新しい特典は6月開始だそうなので、もうちょっとお預けです。
上記の通り、ラウンジへ入るためにはしっかりと実績を積まなければいけないので、インターコンチネンタルのラウンジに入れるよう、実績を積んでみようと思います。
ちょうど仙台にはホリデイインがあるので、ちょっと住んでみてもいいかなと思っています 🙂
