Airport review : Fukuoka Airport(FUK)

Airport review : Fukuoka Airport(FUK)

I went to Fukuoka(FUK), a south eastern city in Kyushu island in Japan recently, I will explain what the airport was like.

About airport

Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu island, Japan’s fifth largest city, as of 2015.

Fukuoka airport is known as one of the most convenient airports in Japan.

It takes only 15 mins to get to city centre(Hakata or Tenjin area) by the underground.

Currently it was under construction, unfortunately.

I felt it was bit dark.

The entrance of ANA lounge was like this :

How to connect to Wi-Fi

You can select “fukuoka-ap_Free-Wi-Fi” SSID.

No password is needed.

After selecting, when you open a browser the following page will be displayed :

You need to get authenticated by any of accounts or email address.

You will see the following display when clicking the URL sent.

Uploading : 2.19Mbps
Downloading : 4.28Mbps

It was a good speed.

The network was never disconnected when I used FaceTime.

Overall I felt no stress on it.

I took a video when going through the departure gate, when you are Oneworld Ruby member or above, the sound will be like this :

Currently Finnair(AY) flies from HEL to FUK as seasonal flight, only way to go to Europe directly.

I think there are lots of varieties of food, alcohol in Fukuoka, it is worth staying to enjoy there.
