外資系ホテルチェーンは頻繁にホテルのカテゴリを変更します。
(改悪・改善含め)
IHGなんかはポイント宿泊の必要ポイント数をだいたい年1回のペースで見直します。

我らがハイアットも、2019/3/18からカテゴリが変更となり、宿泊の際の必要ポイント数が変更となります。
改善・改悪両方あるので、少し紹介したいと思います。

変更となったホテルは
今回カテゴリ変更となったホテルは259あり、改善・改悪の割合は半々くらいです。
アンダーズロンドンがカテゴリ6から5になりました。
これは個人的にも嬉しい改善です。

同じくアンダーズシンガポールもカテゴリが6から5になっています。

また、パークハイアットで唯一カテゴリ4だったパークハイアットハンブルクも、ついにカテゴリ5になってしまいました。
ポイント宿泊には20,000ポイント必要となります。
日本は軒並み改悪
日本国内のハイアットホテルで今回変更対象となったのは6ホテルで、いずれもカテゴリが上がってしまいました。

既に高いカテゴリでポイント予約したホテルが、宿泊時にはカテゴリダウンするような場合には、2019/3/19に差分のポイントが払い戻されるようです。
ハイアットリージェンシー福岡は5月で運営が終了するのですが、2ヶ月間はカテゴリ3での運営となります。
最後に花を持たせるのでしょうか^^;
何れにしても、日本のホテルをポイント予約する場合には3/18までに行った方が良さそうです 🙂
