CX has the fifth freedom flights especially for Japan flights via Taipei(TPE).
In addition these flights are cost effective flights.
I think it is worth considering taking these flights for enjoying CX business class.

I really enjoy this series. Any chance on some well priced fifth freedom flights in business or first? US$799 for a 1,000 mile flight is considerably out of my reach for discretionary spending. Or perhaps a similar post on great value fifth freedom flights with miles. This is not meant as a complaint, so please don’t take it as such. I like this series of posts, and look forward to the next. I’d just like to see about how to fly some of these personally, rather than a “wow, that’s cool and interesting” perspective.
